About Me

Hey There!
I'm Trula and I'm a 16 year old sophomore in Northern California. For some reason I had the crazy idea that it would be a great idea to pick up and launch myself halfway across the world to a place where I don't know the language, the people, or the culture for a year. Long story short, that's how I found myself with Rotary Youth Exchange, going to rotary meetings, meeting other awesome people who had the same wacko idea as me, and generally having a great time (if you actually want more of the story, some of my first posts talk about the process of starting this whole thing)!
This blog is a place for me to document my experiences before, during, and after my exchange in Italy. Hopefully those of you reading it find it entertaining and informative, and I look forward to being able to revisit my exchange by reading this in years to come. Kind of like a time capsule ;).
If you have any questions about anything somewhat relevant to all of this(or not relevant at all, that's good too), ask away and I'll do my best to answer with a semi-intellegent sounding response. If you are enjoying this blog, or just want to say hi, leaving a comment would make me very happy (Oh look! There are actually people out there reading about me! How cool is that?!).

  1. Technology is amazing. Read your blog and I wish my son's time in Firenze could have been followed this way. I have visited Italy 4 times and each trip leaves me wanting more. I am a Rotarian in Mt. Shasta, an Italian citizen(dual) and anything Italian makes me cry or smile. Grazie Mille. Ted Palfini
